Emergency

Quick, compassionate care for urgent dental problems such as pain, trauma, or broken teeth.

About emergency care

Dental emergencies can happen suddenly and often cause pain, stress, or difficulty eating and speaking. At Dutch Dentist Dubai, we understand the urgency of these situations and make it a priority to see patients quickly, relieve pain, and prevent further damage.

Common dental emergencies include:

  • Severe or persistent toothache
  • Broken or fractured teeth
  • Lost or loose fillings, crowns, or veneers
  • Swelling or abscesses in the gums or face
  • Injuries to the mouth, lips, or jaw
  • Knocked-out teeth (avulsed teeth)
  • Trauma from accidents or sports injuries

What to expect in an emergency visit:

  • Immediate pain relief: Our first goal is always to help you feel comfortable.
  • Diagnosis: We quickly identify the cause using clinical examination and, if needed, digital X-rays.
  • Stabilization: Damaged teeth or restorations are repaired temporarily or permanently, depending on the situation.
  • Follow-up plan: In some cases, further treatment may be needed (such as root canal therapy, a crown, or referral to a specialist), and we’ll guide you through the next steps.

Why timing matters:
Prompt care can make the difference between saving or losing a tooth. For example, a knocked-out tooth has the best chance of survival if it is placed back in the socket within the first hour. That’s why we recommend calling us immediately if an accident or sudden pain occurs.

At Dutch Dentist Dubai, we are committed to providing calm, professional support when you need it most. Whether it’s day-to-day dental pain or a sudden emergency, you can rely on us to take care of you quickly and effectively.

More details in case you have a dental trauma

Accidents can happen during sports, falls, or daily activities. Knowing what to do immediately can make a big difference in saving a tooth and reducing complications.

Knocked-Out Tooth (Avulsed Tooth)

  • Handle the tooth only by the crown (the white part), not the root.
  • If dirty, gently rinse with milk or saline, do not scrub or use soap.
  • Try to place the tooth back into the socket if possible, and bite gently on gauze or a cloth to hold it in place.
  • If you cannot reinsert it, keep the tooth moist in milk, saline, or inside your cheek (never let it dry out).
  • Come to the clinic immediately, ideally within 60 minutes.

Chipped or Broken Tooth

  • Rinse your mouth with lukewarm water.
  • If there is bleeding, apply gentle pressure with gauze.
  • Save any broken pieces and bring them to your appointment.
  • Apply a cold compress to reduce swelling.

Tooth Pushed Out of Position

  • Try to gently push the tooth back into its normal position with light pressure, do not force it.
  • Bite down gently to keep it stable.
  • Seek dental care as soon as possible.

Soft Tissue Injuries (Lip, Tongue, or Cheek Cuts)

  • Rinse the area with clean water.
  • Apply pressure with a clean cloth or gauze to stop bleeding.
  • Use a cold compress outside the mouth to limit swelling.
  • If bleeding does not stop after 10–15 minutes, seek immediate care.
