Veneers

Dental veneers are ultra-thin ceramic shells placed on the front of the teeth to create a brighter, more even, and naturally beautiful smile.

About facings (veneers)

Facings, also known as veneers, are a popular cosmetic treatment to enhance the appearance of your smile. They are ultra-thin layers of porcelain or composite that are bonded to the front of teeth to correct imperfections such as:

  • Discoloration that cannot be treated with whitening
  • Small gaps between teeth
  • Chipped, worn, or uneven edges
  • Mild misalignments or irregular shapes

Types of veneers we offer:

  • Porcelain veneers: Highly aesthetic, durable, and resistant to staining. They reflect light like natural enamel and can last 10–15 years with proper care.
  • Composite veneers: A more affordable option, created directly in the clinic in one visit. They can be repaired easily if chipped, though they are slightly less durable than porcelain.

The process:

  1. Careful planning and digital smile design to ensure veneers suit your facial features.
  2. Minimal preparation of the teeth (sometimes no preparation is needed).
  3. Custom fabrication of porcelain veneers in the lab, or direct application of composite veneers in the clinic.
  4. Bonding and polishing for a natural, seamless result.

Veneers are a conservative way to achieve a harmonious, confident smile with minimal tooth reduction.

What to do if a veneer gets damaged or comes off?

While veneers are strong and long-lasting, accidents can happen. If a veneer chips, loosens, or falls off:

  • Save the veneer: place it in a small clean container (a dry tissue or box is fine).
  • Do not attempt to glue it back yourself: household glues are not safe for teeth.
  • If the tooth feels sharp or sensitive: cover it temporarily with sugar-free chewing gum or dental wax to protect your lips or tongue.
  • Avoid biting on that tooth until it is repaired.
  • Contact us as soon as possible: in many cases, the veneer can be rebonded or repaired without replacement.
