Oral Surgery

Oral surgery doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. We provide clear explanations, gentle anesthesia, and a calm environment, so every patient feels comfortable and supported throughout their treatment.

About oral surgery

Sometimes a tooth cannot be saved or causes problems that require surgical removal. Oral surgery procedures are performed at Dutch Dentist Dubai by our specialist Dr. Rabih Abi Nader, who has extensive experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery. With his expertise and gentle approach, patients can expect safe, comfortable care, even in complex cases.

Wisdom Teeth (Third Molars)

Wisdom teeth often erupt in the late teens or early twenties. In many cases, there is not enough space in the jaw for them to grow in properly. This can lead to:

  • Impacted teeth (stuck under the gum or bone)
  • Pain, swelling, or repeated infections
  • Crowding or shifting of other teeth
  • Damage to neighboring teeth or their roots

We recommend removal if wisdom teeth cause pain, infections, or show signs of future complications. Dr. Rabih carefully evaluates each case with digital X-rays or 3D scans to plan the safest and least invasive approach.

Surgical Extractions

Not all extractions are straightforward. Sometimes a tooth is broken below the gumline, has very curved roots, or is stuck in bone. In these cases, a surgical extraction is needed. This involves gently lifting the gum tissue, carefully removing the tooth, and placing stitches to help healing.

Thanks to modern local anesthesia and advanced techniques, surgical extractions are comfortable and quick. Aftercare instructions are always provided, and pain is usually minimal with the right post-treatment care.

Aftercare & Healing

  • Bite on gauze for the first hour to control bleeding.
  • Apply an ice pack externally to reduce swelling.
  • Eat soft foods and avoid hot drinks for the first day.
  • Do not smoke or use a straw, as suction can disturb healing.
  • Follow the medication and care instructions provided by your dentist.

Most patients recover quickly within a few days, with full healing taking 1–2 weeks.

At Dutch Dentist Dubai, oral surgery is performed with precision and patient comfort as the highest priority. From simple extractions to complex wisdom tooth removals, you are in expert hands with Dr. Rabih Abi Nader
